Who we are

This website is run by the partners trading as Aquarius Lodge, a care home at 20 Approach Road, Margate, CT9 2AN, registered with the Care Quality Commission. They are responsible for the information you send through this website.

This notice covers this website only. If your loved one lives at Aquarius Lodge, the way we handle care records is covered separately by the privacy information we give residents and their families directly.

Contacting us

If you send an enquiry through the form on our contact page, we receive who the care is for, your name, your phone number and/or email address, what you would like help with and anything you write in the message box. If you call or email us, we use the details you give us in the same way: to answer you and discuss your enquiry. Please avoid sending detailed medical information through the form or by email; sensitive matters are better discussed by phone or in person.

We keep enquiry information only as long as needed for the conversation and any next steps. If a person moves into the home, relevant information may become part of their care records, which are covered by the separate privacy information we give residents and families. You can ask us about the information we hold by calling, emailing or writing to the home.

Who handles it

When you send the form, this website’s host, Cloudflare, passes it to our email delivery service, Resend, which sends it on to the home by email. Our email and telephone providers then handle messages so that we can receive and answer them. We do not use enquiry details for marketing or sell them to others.

Cookies and similar storage

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It uses browser storage for two preferences that stay on your device:

• whether you have dismissed the privacy message, so it does not reappear on every page;
• a note, kept only until you close the browser, that you have already seen the short opening animation.

Our typefaces are served from this website rather than from a font network, so reading these pages does not tell any other company what you are looking at.

The maps on our contact and Margate pages

Our contact page and our Margate page each include a map embedded from Google Maps. When a map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. The address is written out in text beside each map, in case you would rather not use it. No other page on this site loads anything from another company.

Links to other sites

We link to the Care Quality Commission so that you can read our inspection report at the source. Their site has its own privacy notice.

Your rights

You can ask to see personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion where the law allows, and object to certain uses. Ring, email or write to us. We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
